Build in the Open
We ship open source tools that lower the barrier to working with AI—guardrails, learning aids, agent UIs. Code is public, contributions welcome.

We publish blog posts and research on what's actually happening in AI—separating signal from hype, and surfacing what matters for builders and policymakers.
Outreach & Education
We make AI legible to people outside the field. Tutorials, audio narrations of every post, and writing aimed at engineers, decision-makers, and curious newcomers alike.

Tech Toboggan was founded on a simple belief: navigating emerging technology shouldn't feel like climbing uphill. With the right guide, it can feel like sledding downhill—fast, exhilarating, and surprisingly smooth.
Generative AI isn't noise; it's the most significant shift in the way we work since the internet went mainstream. Most coverage of it lands between hype and panic. We try for something more useful.
Philosophy: Technology should amplify people, not replace them. The best AI doesn't eliminate human judgment; it augments it. Open source, open weights, and open evaluation are the conditions that keep that possibility alive—so we build, write, and advocate accordingly.
